between karena masih berpengaruh terhadap performace,
dan apabila field date_of_record tersebut merupakan
index, maka index tidak akan jalan.
menurut saya seperti ini:

and (a.date_of_record >= to_char('01/01/2005',
'dd/mm/yyyy')
and a.date_of_record <= last_day(to_char(
'01/01/2005', 'dd/mm/yyyy')));
