The Romulans enter The Dominion War The Dominion invades Betazed. Romulan Senator Vreenak is killed by a bomb that is apparently set by Dominion agents but is really planted by Garak to lure the Romulans into the war. The ruse works and the Romulans join the Federation in the struggle against the Dominion. Soon afterward, Romulan forces defeat the Jem'Hadar forces at Benzar.
