ASCA Launches New Web Site and Anchor Safety Resource
Posted on: February 4, 2004
The American Safe Climbing Assn. has a new web site to
keep you informed about anchor safety issues:
www.safeclimbing.org
The new site, designed by David Safanda, has the
following features:
* Educational articles on anchor safety and gear
recalls
* A listing of the routes that the ASCA has
replaced
* Conservation info. and a history of climbing
anchors
* Details on the Clean Anchors program to reduce
the visual impact of climbing anchors
Many thanks to RC.com members David Safanda and Dave
Buchanan (Hardman Knott) for many hours of design and
layout.
The ASCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to
replacing unsafe anchors and reducing climber impact
on the environment. The ASCA is entirely supported on
the generous donations of climbers.
