FUNSAR is the required text for anyone completing the FUNSAR Course offered by the National Association of Search and Rescue (NASAR). The second level of NASAR courses, FUNSAR is a 40-hour,
field-based course. It provides knowledge concerning the general responsibilities, skills, abilities, and the equipment needed by persons who are assigned to field operations during a search and rescue mission.
FUNSAR is the only resource to cover the requirements for SARTECH I & II in one volume. In addition, training materials are also provided to prepare students for the six skills required to pass the practical exam:
