CARE Indonesia, as an international NGO, has carried out large scale
operations in Indonesia, encompassing emergency operations,
transitional activities centered on agriculture and nutrition and a
range of development initiatives in such areas as water and
sanitation, agriculture and natural resources, health, micro-credit
and civil society/good governance. CARE is presently seeking:
URBAN FIELD FACILITATOR TANGERANG
Fully participate in the development and implementation of an
effective program to improve the nutritional status of pregnant and
lactating Mothers and children (0-5 years) in both Tangerang City
and District. Candidate is also participating in the development
and implementation of effective program to decrease status of
diarrheal. Manage, organize, facilitate and directly support the
work the Development Field Facilitators to facilitate and develop
the group and technical capacity of Kader and community. Build the
knowledge, skills, and aptitude of the community and other
stakeholders so they can effectively deliver health environmental
health activities.
Responsibilities:
Develop, Plan, and Promote effective Enviromental Health
Intervention in the community
1. In coordiantion with ProgM, PM, and field facilitators actively
participate in the design and implementation of community based
needs assessment, formative research, and interventions designed to
increase the nutritional status of mothers and children and rate of
diarheal in the project area
2. In coordiantion with ProgM, PM, other Kecamatan Coordinators,
and field facilitators, develop annual implementation plans for
establishing and developing effective Environmental Health
Intervention.
3. Facilitate activities designed to strengthen Environmental Health
Intervention.
4. Actively participate in project M&E activities
5. Promote effective Implement effective Environmental Health
Invervention to all partners within the project area particularly
government.
Manage, organize, and implement Environmental Health Intervention
1. Facilitate, coach, and supervise Field Facilitators to
facilitate the establishment and strengthening of the Environmental
Health Intervention such as assist in the identification of
beneficiaries for the FFW projects.
2. Identify, organize implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation
community based Environmental Health Intervention such as assist
community to do project proposal and ensure that it meets all
technical specifications.
3. Assist community to do community plan and to implement
Environmental Health Intervention.
4. Collect monitoring and evaluation data from community and stake
holders on the Environmental Health Intervention and prepare
scheduled and ad-hoc reports to the Kecamatan Coordinator.
5. Ensure accurate maintenance of project alignment
6. Certify attendance sheets, and that the commodities required for
distribution are in agreement. Certify project completion
7. Coordinate Environmental Health Intervention with other BERSIH
activities (including Pos Gizi, Posyandu, Puskesmas, and
Environmental Heatlh activities)
Develop Capacity of community to facilitate Environmental Health
Intervention
1. In cooperation with Program Manager, Project Managers, Kecamatan
Coordinator and Technical Assistance to lead training sessions
and/or informal (on the job) training to community and other
stakeholders on :
a.Commumity assessments methods such as PRA
b.Community Participation and Food For Work Activities
c.Group development and facilitation
d.Kelurahan planning
e.Monitoring and evaluation
f.CARE's procedures and systems
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Diploma Degree (D3)
2. 2-3 years of expérience in community based Programs (preferably
in urban settings)
3. Understanding and experience in the Food For Work activities and
coummunity participation
4. Understanding and experience in pregnant/lactating mother and
child (0-5 years) health and nutrition practices
5. Strong communciation skills
6. Knowledge and experience in implementing community based
activities particularly in Environmental Health Activities
7. Able to facilitate and partner with local government, community
groups, and other potential partners in the project area.
8. Knowledge and experience in facilitating community development,
especially in urban areas
9. Previous experience with local or international NGOs
10. Able to work with and lead teams
11. Able to use computers and MS Windows Applications (MS Word, MS
Excel, MS Access)
12. Able to communicate in English (not required by desirable)
13. Able to drive a motorcycle and hold a valid drivers licens
