"Food hygiene" - semua kondisi dan tindakan yang diperlukan demi 
kepastian keselamatan dan kecocokan makanan pada semua tahapan rantai 
makanan. 
"Food safety" - kepastian bahwa makanan tidak membahayakan bagi 
konsumennya ketika disiapkan dan atau dimakan sesuai dengan 
kegunaannya.
Food Hygiene diterapkan di berbagai kantin perusahaan untuk mencegah 
terjadinya kasus keracunan makanan yang sering terjadi di Indonesia. 
Suhu yang tinggi, pengetahuan yang terbatas mengenai cara memasak, 
merupakan sedikit dari banyak faktor yang menyebabkan banyaknya kasus 
keracunan makanan (hampir tiap hari). Keracunan makanan bisa dicegah 
dengan mengamati berbagai rantai proses pengolahan makanan.
Yayasan IDKI sebuah Lembaga Pelatihan Kerja akan menyelenggarakan 
pelatihan kerja "Food Hygiene" di Jakarta, pada tanggal 23 dan 24 
September 2005.
Peserta yang diharapkan hadir dalam pelatihan ini adalah: Petugas 
Kantin, catering dan semua yang terlibat dengan masalah makanan, 
Petugas Keselamatan Kerja, Dokter Perusahaan, Perawat Perusahaan, 
Human Resources, Safety Officer, HSE Officer, anggota Panitia Pembina 
Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (P2K3) dll.

Food Hygiene Training 23 and 24 September 2005

Food hygiene - all conditions and measures necessary to ensure the 
safety and suitability of food at all stages of the food chain. 
Food safety - assurance that food will not cause harm to the consumer 
when it is prepared and/or eaten according to its intended use.
Food Hygiene is implemented at any factory canteen to prevent the 
occurance of food poisoning that is common in Indonesia. High 
temperature, limited knowledge on the cooking procedures, are 
becoming some of many factors affecting the food poisoning (almost 
happen daily). Food poisoning could be prevented by observing the 
food processing.
IDKI Foundation is a competency training institute will deliver a 
training on "Food Hygiene" in Jakarta, on 23 and 24 September 2005.
Participants expected to attend in this training are: food handlers, 
catering managers and those whose job are related with food, safety 
officers, company physicians, occupational health nurses, human 
resources managers, HSE officers, members of safety committee etc
