Revised AHA CPR Guidelines released
The American Heart Association released its 2005 Guidelines on CPR and ECC last week, implementing dramatic changes to the organization's recommendations for how lay rescuers and emergency healthcare providers should resuscitate victims of cardiovascular emergencies.

The new guidelines specify that "a universal compression-ventilation ratio (30:2) is recommended for all single rescuers of infant, child, and adult victims (excluding newborns)." The guidelines further state that "[o]nce an advanced airway is in place for infant, child, or adult victims ... Full Story
