The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), an
International NGO working to expand democracy worldwide is currently
seeking a dynamic individual based in Aceh to act as a Liaison Officer (LO)
for a new program focusing on political parties and election monitoring in  that province. The short-term assignment will last approximately 4 months.
The LO will be responsible to represent NDI in Aceh, assist in developing relationships with local stakeholders, assist with trainings,  disseminating information, making logistical arrangements, monitoring partners,  reporting and implementing program activities such as meetings, workshops or trainings. This may include travel, evening or weekend work. 
Candidates
should possess the following qualifications:
*      University Education
*      Experience in democracy strengthening programs such as  governance or elections related work
*      Good Logistical capability
*      Experience working with civil society
*      Experience working with political parties
*      Good understanding of political issues
*      Highly organized, outgoing and assertive
*      Having experience in report writing and basic understanding of research
*      Fluent in English and Indonesian, fluency in Acehnese is an
asset
