MPBI (Masyarakat Penanggulangan Bencana Indonesia), is
a non profit organization focused on Disaster
Management is seeking for highly motivated, dedicated
and experienced staffs to be based in Jakarta for the
position of Communication and Officer, Public
Education Officer, and CBDRM Officer. The duration of
assignment is 12 months (include 3 months probation
period) with possibility for extension. Starting date
is Immediate. 
  
1. Communication and Information Officer 
Primary Responsibilities: Coordinate the dissemination
of information related to the Disaster Management. 
Assist staffs to report on Disaster Management program
situation and activities.  Serve as primary
communications liaison in providing donors, partner
agencies, and members with timely and accurate
information. 
  
Specific Duties: 
  
Collect and become familiar with Disaster Management
information per reports issued by government and
non-government agencies. 
Compile and disseminate information concerning all
aspects of Disaster Management program activity. 
Work collaboratively to produce frequent situation
reports for internal and external distribution. 
Inform partners about emergency program activities
when required. 
Maintain relations with local and international media
regarding situation and emergency response. 
Research, analyze and write press releases, articles
and other informational pieces.  
Assume other related duties as assigned such as
providing updates to facilitate preparation of
required program reports, and information to be used
for fundraising purposes. 
Requirements
  
University Degree in any subject, preferred from the
Faculty of Communication or Social Science 
Understand basic issues and concept of disaster
management 
Has a minimum of 1 (one) year experience, preferred
with an NGO 
Has good verbal and written abilities to extend
information in Bahasa and English 
Has good human relations skills 
Has the ability to work with the team 
Has the ability to work under pressure and do
necessary overwork 
 
2. Public Education Officer
Primary Responsibilities
Act as the implementation controller of the project
activities on a day-to-day basis under the supervision
of the Program Manager, who will manage and coordinate
the project, including:  implementation of the work
plan, communication and coordination with various
parties and provision of supports to project partners
and stakeholders.
Specific Duties
1.      Facilitating the implementation of the project
activities in cooperation with all related parties as
arranged by the project; 
2.      Develop and maintain relation with Ministry of
National Education
3.      Work closely with Disaster Management
Consortium of Education and assist the consortium to
provide technical assistance as needed in order to
develop the education curriculum for disaster
management.
4.      Developing and provide various project report
as required for program updating to the program
management and contribute to reports submitted by the
program to the donor
5.      Ensuring effective monitoring and evaluation
of project activities using the tools as agreed; 
6.      Act as program liaison to different level of
government officer in national and provincial level.
7.      Perform other duties as required by the
Program Manager and other that related with the
program
 
Requirements 
 
1.      University degree from education, social
science or related 
2.      At least (3) three years working experience
with  NGO and INGO is advantage
3.      Computer literacy at least in Microsoft office
application
4.      Good presentation and language skills, oral
and written communication and fluent in English is
advantage
5.      Excellent interpersonal skill and ability to
establish and maintain effective working relations
with other member of team
6.      Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive
information
7.      Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines;
experience in working under pressure
 
3. CBDRM (Community Based Disaster Risk Management)
Officer
Primary Responsibilities
 
As the primary contact person to follow up the result
and the recommendation of CBDRM symposium include
maintaining and communicating with the task force,
developing the website, and providing leadership and
task assignments to members of CBDRM Steering
Committee. 
 
Specific Duties
1.      Facilitating the coordination the CBDRM
activities in cooperation with all related parties as
arranged by the project.
2.      Develop and maintain relation with all
partners including (UN Agencies, INGO, NGOs, CBOs,
governments, and universities) and MPBI affiliation.
3.      Work closely with CBDRM Steering Committee and
assist the Steering Committee to provide technical
assistance as needed in order to develop the CBDRM
Program.
4.      Developing and provide report as required for
program updating to the program management and
contribute to reports submitted by the program to the
donor
5.      Ensuring effective monitoring and evaluation
of project activities using the tools as agreed; 
6.      Act as program liaison to different level of
