Course 69 : HAZMAT (Hazardous Material Management)

#69: Hazardous Material Safe Handling (Transport, Storage & Disposal)
Objective
Upon completing the course, participants will gain skill in safe handling of
hazardous chemicals & develop the ability to identify hazards of chemicals
and how to act correct either in handling, storage or in transporting them.
In addition, they would be able to develop an emergency response plan in
case of any undesired account so as to minimize property damage and
personnel injuries.
Content
1. UUD: rules application as a reference for implementation in
chemical industry.
2. Introduction to hazardous materials (B3): general overview
3. Identification & labeling: how to identify; how to make
classification & recognize the label (code or pictures); labeling
4. MSDS: recognize the characteristics & how to handle them
5. Introduction to toxicology: study the characteristics of poisons in every
hazardous materials.
6. Plant inspection: regular inspection in order to find or identify the
present of any hazardous materials.
7. Hazardous waste management: container to prevent dangers or pollution &
thus, cause environmental hazards in the vicinity.
8. Hazard communication: communication technique for personnel in charge;
various codes in emergency.
9. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): explanation about various PPE, its
functions, etc.
10. Site control: investigation at sites; understanding the steps to be
taken at scene; how to prevent or avoid any unwanted post-accident
occurrence.
70: Contractor Safety Management (CSMS)
Objective
Contractor Safety Management System course is one of the requirement as
stated in the OGP (Oil and Gas Producer Forum) guideline. At the end of the
program, the participants are expected to be able to draw a CSMS
implementation program and prepare HSE Management System documents in their
companies, respectively.
Content:
1. Introduction: Interrelationship with other systems
2. Overview of process
3. Planning: Description of work; Risk identification; Contracting strategy;
Contract schedule
4. Pre-qualification: Purpose and responsibilities; Standard
pre-qualification documents; From pre-qualification to selection
5. Selection: Bid documentation prepared by company; Bid preparation by
contractor; Pre-award meetings; Incentive schemes for HSE; Contract award
6. Pre-mobilization activities: Kick-off meeting; Pre-job audits
7. Mobilization: General; Mobilization audit
8. Execution: Responsibilities; Contractor compliance; Competence assurance;
Inspection and HSE auditing/reviews
9. De-mobilization: Responsibilities
10. Final evaluation and close-out: Final evaluation and report
#71: HAZOPS (HAZARD & OPERABILITY STUDY)
Setelah mengikuti Hazops Training, para peserta diharapkan dapat melakukan
identifikasi bahaya dari suatu system proses, baik itu proses produksi
minyak maupun proses produksi bahan kimia yang menggunakan suatu system
perpipaan, bejana-bejana bertekanan yang didisain dengan perlengkapan
pengamanan atau safety devices, melalui suatu kajian yang sistematis dari
kemungkinan terjadinya penyimpangan aliran proses dari tujuan perancangan.
Melalui beberapa studi kasus, para peserta diharapkan akan dapat menerapkan
pengetahuannya ditempat kerja mereka nantinya.
