In 1971, B. N. Goswamy referred in a footnote to an earlier article by Chintaharan Chakraborty that had appeared in the *Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bengal* on the subject of manuscript scribes.
Goswamy, B. N. “On Two Accounts About Manuscript-Writing.” Proceedings of the Punjab History Conference. Patiala, Proceedings of the Punjab History Conference. Patiala, 6 (1971): 87–94. Footnote 1: [image: image.png] I've searched on archive.org, Google, and in some 1960s issues of the JASB, without luck. Does anyone here know Chakraborty's article by any chance?
