Dear all,

for those of you interested in yoga, this might be the right moment for the
announcement that modernyogaresearch.org<http://modernyogaresearch.org>, a
website pioneered by, among others, Elizabeth de Michelis and Mark Singleton,
is being prepared for a serious relaunch. A new team around Suzanne Newcombe
and myself is emerging, mostly consisting of a group of scholars from the Yoga
Darśana, Yoga Sādhanā<https://ydys2022.org/> international yoga conference in
Kraków in May 2022. Also its domain is changing to simply
yogaresearch.org<http://yogaresearch.org>, one reason for which being the fact
that the study of pre-modern yoga, research by classical Indologists, is
prominently featured on it, side-by-side and interacting with work by mostly
social and religious scientists on modern yoga.

As part of this relaunch a user research study is just commencing, to which I
would like to invite those of you who are interested. There is a short
survey<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ZNlCwLRbsfQvLR_kx2c6bh5hQiOI4r49tYy8IZUVh-w/edit>.
Completing it will take only a couple of minutes and your answers will be
completely anonymous. You’ll be asked some questions and if you can take part
in further research. Findings will be used to help develop the new website.
Closing date is Wednesday 8 March 2023. For more information contact Sally SJ
Brown<mailto:[email protected]>.

Access the
survey<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ZNlCwLRbsfQvLR_kx2c6bh5hQiOI4r49tYy8IZUVh-w/edit>

If you have any questions about the new website, would like to get involved or
have your research featured on it you can contact me. Please feel free to
forward this email to whoever else you think might be interested. Thank you for
your help.

Best wishes

Peter Pasedach on behalf of the website team
