Dear Colleagues,
this is perhaps a good occasion to point out that there are many Fair
Open Access (FOA) alternatives to the big publisher(s) that do not
charge extremely high fees and prices for their services and products:

The “Fair” in “Fair Open Access” is important because FOA allows people
from diverse backgrounds to access as well as contribute to scholarly
literature. Since we launched the FOA Initiative three years ago, we
have found that scholars are increasingly interested in such
alternatives, and many excellent papers have been published in FOA
journals since then.
