Dear colleagues, Can anyone point me to articles on the use of captions to link text with images in Indian (Sanskrit) manuscripts? Is there any convention of referring to a figure in a text, like in Latin texts: sicut hac figura docet (as this figure shows)? I was hoping to find something in the Texts Surrounding Texts project (https://tst.hypotheses.org/), but haven't so far. Any pointers would be much appreciated! Dagmar
