Dear Kenneth,

it occurs in the Śārdūlakarṇāvadāna (Mukhopadhyaya 1954, p. 175, line 4), in the section on pāṇilekhā:

balipuruṣam api tyajed dhi vittaṃ ditavivaśā ca viśīrṇavarṇalekhā

But the meaning is not clear to me. The Tibetan translation seems not to contain that section; see https://84000.co/translation/toh358

Best
Martin

Zitat von Kenneth Gregory Zysk via INDOLOGY <[email protected]>:

Dear Colleagues,

I should appreciate an exact meaning and any references to the compound word: balipuruṣa.
With may thanks,
