While attending the funeral of Raniero Gnoli, this very morning, a lot of memories from our long acquaintance came to my mind. I wish to share with you at least one as the sign of one of the many facets of his personality: an exquisite sense of humour. In the Seventies, at a time of student protests someone accused him of teaching things of the past.
