Dear colleagues and friends,

I am delighted to inform you that the book by Daniele Cuneo and Elisa Ganser
Pensare l’attore. Le fonti sanscrite (in Italian, see below) has recently been
awarded the prestigious Colette Caillat Prize by the Académie des Inscriptions
et Belles-Lettres, one of the five academies of the Institut de France.

In this work, the authors trace, with solid philological methodology, the
intellectual history of reflections on the actor by the elite Sanskrit authors
who composed the normative texts called śāstra, with particular attention to
Sanskrit texts belonging to the dramaturgical tradition of the Nāṭyaśāstra.

I am making this announcement on behalf of the authors as I am fortunate enough
to co-edit (with Cinzia Pieruccini) the series in which the volume was
published.

Wishing everyone a wonderful summer,

Marco
