Is it a horrible disinformation or could it be true that a former KGB agent by the name of Volodislasvlich managed to decode the Indonesian document he stole in 1979 revealing President Suharto's vengeful scenario to destroy Indonesian people if and when his new order regime crashed down? I got a forwarded E-Mail about an article in the "Jurnal Indonesia Baru" of February 16, 1999 elaborating on the vengeful scenario of Suharto to punish the Indonesians especially those who are against him with the following scheme: 1. Play off one against another between the Chinese and the Pribumi. 2. Play off one against another among religious groups 3. Bring total destruction to the economy 4. Set up a puppet regime after the new order collapsed And last but not least: massacre the people three days after his death so that pro-Suhartoists only would survive. Scenario 1 to 4 seem to be verifiable, although I doubt it very much that Suharto would be so clairvoyant about his future. But one thing I am sure of: he is a very unforgiving, even vengeful man. He has the motive allright but not such a vision that would turn Nostradamus in his grave. The KGB is notorious of its disinformation techniques. Volodislavlich suugested to verify his document with some CIA agents who might sympathize with the In- donesia people. This is an impossibe task, who on earth could contact a CIA agent, let alone to verify classified information. I have been in the US for 27 years and was not able to find a channel to contact the CIA which is completely closed to foreigners, even through official channels like the Foreign Press, etc. US citizens perhaps could go to Langley and get some information. Volo's document in unverifiable, eventhough Suharto has the motive and the capa- bility to create such a horrible evil scenario, I doubt it that he knew beforehand that he would be toppled, notably not 20 years ago? However, if someone could verify with the CIA or the BAKIN about this scenario of total revenge, I would be surprised. But I wouldn't be surprised in the least if my name is on his hitlist.................. In New York I am ready to defend myself. H.S.
