And I agree with you. Indonesia really is getting the short end of the stick. (or are only a handful of Technocrats getting their pockets lined and Masyarakat Indonesia can only sit hungrily at the side lines) The Republik of Indonesia has to be more forceful in dealing with the foreign Conglomerates, like President Mahatir of Malaysia. In 1974, the EXXON Oil Co's Contract expired and they had to negotiate a new contract. Before, the Contract was very liberal for Exxon. But in 1974, Dr. Mahatir declared that Exxon had made enough profit over the poor backs of the Malaysian Masyarakat and offered only 10% for Exxon and 90% for the Malaysian Government. Exxon threathened to quit and negotiated for 2 years. But Mahatir did not budge and said:" Take it or leave it, there will be plenty of foreign Cos. that will take the job" After 2 years Exxon agreed and continued on 10%. Please continue to force the Indonesian Government to think about the Masyarakat FIRST.
