"If they [KPU members] reject signing the election result without valid=20 reason, not only will this be ignored by the Election Monitoring Body, but=20 those who reject signing it also face a jail term of up to three months,"=20 said a KPU member, Djuhad Mahya. Mahya, who represents the United Development Party (PPP) at the KPU, said=20 Article 73, Paragraph 10 of the election law says that KPU members who ignor= e=20 their duty, face three months in jail or a Rp10,000,000 fine.
