ACM Hypertext 2025 – Call for Late Breaking and Blue Skies The late breaking and blue skies track welcomes submissions of original and unpublished work that is at an early stage, and/or ideas that do not fit the profile of a traditional Hypertext conference paper. For the topics of interest, please refer to the scopes in the track of research papers. All submissions must be written in English. Track Chairs: Prof. David Millard (University of Southampton) and Dr. Ben Steichen (California State Polytechnic University, Pomona) Important Dates (AoE Time) June 6, 2025 – Paper submission July 4, 2025 – Notification of paper acceptance July 18, 2025 – Camera-ready submission Late Breaking We encourage researchers and practitioners to use this track as a valuable opportunity to receive useful feedback on early-stage work and foster discussions and collaborations among colleagues. We look forward to receiving: * Innovative research plans and preliminary results; * Descriptions and/or evaluations of system prototypes addressing the theory and practice of topics relevant to the hypertext community; * Essays introducing recently started research projects or summarising project results. Format Submissions must be anonymous, given that ACM HT uses a double-blind review process. Late breaking submissions should follow the same ACM double-column format as the main research tracks, but papers should be up to 4 pages with 1 additional page for references. Submissions will be reviewed and based on those reviews may be accepted as either talks or posters. Papers will be archived in the ACM Digital Library. Blue Skies We also invite submissions to a special “Blue Sky Ideas” track. The emphasis of this track will be on visionary ideas, long term challenges, and opportunities in research that are outside of the current mainstream topics of the field. We want to overcome the constraints of the traditional review process by incubating innovative approaches, risky and provocative ideas, and propose challenges and opportunities in the near future. We are particularly excited about ideas that address the conference theme of “The World as Hypertext.” Submissions will be judged on the extent to which they expand the possibilities and horizons of the field or challenge existing assumptions prevalent in the field. Format Submissions must be anonymous, given that ACM HT uses a double-blind review process. Submissions to this track should follow the same ACM double-column format as submissions to the main research tracks, but are limited to 4 pages with 1 additional page for references. Submissions will be reviewed by a dedicated panel of senior researchers, and based on these reviews may be accepted as talks at the conference. Papers will be archived in the ACM Digital Library.
