This statement is incorrect.  It should read, "In 3.4 they will get
read-only access to the databases and read-write access to any
(read-write, of course) volumes they can reach through a path residing
completely in volumes located on the server."

It's hard to imagine how anyone could be confused about this.  :-}

I think that this statement is based on the incorrect analysis in the
previous statement.

My response is purely theoretical based on Transarc promises for 3.4.
Perhaps someone can confirm (or refute) them from actual experience.
