First, thanks to Chuck Lever (here at good 'ol umich), I poked around
a little and got the following information for our SunOS 4.1.4 system:

strings /usr/vice/etc/modload/libafs.o | grep Base
@(#)Base configuration afs3.3 1.68;Nbapi-3.3-1.68.compile.fixes
1.1;Ivas-3.4-3101.sol.xlator.cred.screw.up
1.3;Ivas-3.4-3101.xlator.panic.on.rebooted.xlators 1.2

strings /usr/vice/etc/afsd | grep Base
@(#)Base configuration afs3.3 1.68;Nbapi-3.3-1.68.compile.fixes
1.1;Ivas-3.4-3101.sol.xlator.cred.screw.up
1.3;Ivas-3.4-3101.xlator.panic.on.rebooted.xlators 1.2

So...those are both the client side, correct? I took a look at some of
the server files, but couldn't find any information there. They are
at most, though, 3.3a. I *think* they are 3.3, but I'm not certain.
(I definitely have some strange version of the backup stuff...) How
can I find out?

Also, at the time this happened, I had one fileserver, so *no* replicated
volumes. Thanks for the warning for 3.4a, though, since we will probably
be moving to Solaris this summer...

I have received no other replies about this.
