We're running an AFS 3.4a on Solaris 2.6 x86 which we built ourselves from
source.
Transarc has in the past provided a /contrib tree in which customer builds
were made available. I'm currently in discussion with them to get our build
somewhere in there. When I recently asked Transarc did not intend to offer a
supported x86 build any time soon (nor a Linux build alas).
BTW: our reason for using Solaris was that it is an interesting alternative
if you're considering lots of small servers with EIDE disks instead of one
big with SCSI - that cut our price/GB down by a factor of 4-5.
