I'm the author of lsof. While upgrading it to support AFS on Solaris 2.5 and above, I discovered that the algorithm it uses for generating "inode" numbers no longer works. The algorithm was developed for SunOS 4.1.x, still works there, and worked for Solaris 2.4. Does anyone have any idea how I might discover how stat(2) generates the AFS "inode" numbers that `ls -li` reports? Vic Abell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
