In addition to the just-announced availability of the Cache Update
newsletters, I've just installed the AFSUG (AFS Users' Group) materials
in the grand.central.org cell. For fellow AFS'ers, you can get to these
things as follows:
/afs/grand.central.org/pub/afsug
For people with only basic Internet connectivity, you can use anonymous
FTP to look at these materials. Use host grand.central.org (IP address
192.54.226.100), and check out the following directory:
pub/afsug
You'll note that one of the subdirectories of the newly-released afsug
area is named "newsletters", and that it includes the text of all the
Cache Updates! So, this means you'll now be able to get to the Cache
Update texts as /afs/grand.central.org/pub/afsug/newsletter. I'll leave
the old name around (/afs/grand.central.org/pub/cache.update) as a
symlink to this new area.
Here is the README file from this new afsug collection. Since it is
implemented as a cross-cell mounted volume, don't be surprised to see
pathnames such as /afs/tr/...
