True.  I don't have a schedule for fixing this, the priority has to be
based on current and future customer needs.  If it's a high priority for
you, tell your product support rep.

Note that with a 1500-byte MTU, AFS performance over FDDI _is_ better
than AFS over Ethernet, though it doesn't fully utilize FDDI.  I don't
know about other high-speed networking technologies, but I suspect
that they would not perform as well as AFS over FDDI because of their
relatively high per-packet overheads.
