I've got _something_ wrong with the configuration on my AIX 3.2
machines, but can't figure out what it is, and am hoping some
else has stumbled across both the problem *and* the solution...

I'm setting up my AIX 3.2 machines, still putting most of the OS
on local disk and only lining into AFS for a few things.
Somehow, though, I've broken xlf - while it works if I've got
ADMIN tokens, normal users get things like:

        -> xlf loops1.f
        ** main   === End of Compilation 1 ===
        1501-510 Compilation successful for file loops1.f.
        mv: loops1.o: The file access permissions do not allow the specified action.

/bin is local, as is all of xlf (/usr/lpp/xlf* and /etc/xlf.cfg). I'm
not hitting max quota on the volume, and it happens whether or
not there's a current a.out in the directory. As stated above,
if I klog to admin, everything works. xlc doesn't have any
trouble at all.

I'm stumped. Has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks.
