Hi, I am new to AFS and I have a few naive questions:

    1. Is it an absolute requirement to put all volumes under
       a single, big subtree ?

    2. If the answer to 1 is "yes", is it because the requirement
to maintain a single, global file system name space ?

    3. If the answer to 2 is "yes", then suppose the requirement of
single, global name space is dropped, can I place volumes in
       different subtrees ?

    4. If my guesses are wrong, what are the reasons to put all volumes
       in a single subtree ?

Please post your answers to send it to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]".

Thanks in advance.

Regards, Pau-Chen
