The IANA doesn't ``reserve'' port numbers over 1023; rather it
``registers'' the port numbers that applications will grab.  Yes, the
AFS known ports are registered there--at least the 7000-7009 range, in
RFC 1700 (October 1994) and RFC 1340 (July 1992).  They were not in RFC
1060 (March 1990) and prior versions.
