This is an NFS problem, not a CVS problem. Linix NFS and Irix NFS don't
play nice together (actually, Irix NFS doesn't seem to play well with
others in general). I strongly suggest using some sort of client/server
CVS rather than using an NFS-mounted repository in a heterogeneous
environment, particularly one that includes SGIs. Other than that, all
I can suggest is to pester SGI and/or whoever does your Linux support to
figure out who broke what and how to fix it.
