I have finally managed to announce that

                http://alexm.here.ru/cvs-nserver/

contains cvs-nserver-1.10.7.1 for couple of weeks already. cvs-nserver is
the rewritten and improved :pserver: mode for CVS.

Primary features include:
     * all security-critical code splitted into separate executables.
       Main CVS binary does not do authentication, authorization or
       anything else too critical;
     * authentication layer is very well separated from other parts of
       CVS subsystem so allowing:
          + virtual repositories support (entire repository with
            unlimited number of virtual users is run under two system
            accounts and is completely manageable over network;
          + simplest authentication module can authenticate against
            /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow files;
          + PAM-aware authentication module is included and could do any
            authentication you could imagine in PAM (Pluggable
            Authentication Modules) framework;
     * complete compatibility with existing clients base around the world
       is maintained;
     * all new features are completely documented in chapter "Network
       repositories" in cvs.info;
     * todo items include support for SSL, improved work over firewalls
       and various proxies, Access Control Lists, flexible assigning of
       port numbers to repositories, mini-clients (without RCS-files code
       inside, able to work only over network).

I need feedback.

                Mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

   I have created mailing list for discussions of CVS-nserver. You can
   subscribe by mailing to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and talking
   with ezmlm manager.

You can use [EMAIL PROTECTED], of course, for broader audience. I monitor
it and will act accordingly.
