heh... turns out I'm an idiot - I had the wrong path to the cvs
executable... <sigh> It's always the most obvious mistakes... My apologies
to everyone for wasting their time, and fyi, redhat (at least 6.2) installs
by default in /usr/bin/cvs, not /usr/local/bin/cvs - so if you see any other
idiots with this problem, there's an obvious answer....
