We're using cvs for both our source files and the corresponding
documentation.
The documentation is mainly written in MS Word and PowerPoint.
Checking these documents in as binary (-kb) makes cvs preserve the files but
also inhibits keyword substitution.
The problem is that we need that keyword substitution.
I have a tool that is capable of performing the substitution, but I know of
no way to get the (new) revision number before the file is actually
committed.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
