exactly.

IMHO, the semantics for -r are confusing.  Sometimes
it means a branch, and sometimes it means an exact revision.

I.e.:
        -r <branch_tag> -D <date>

is useful, whereas:

        -r <revison_tag>  -D <date>

is nonsense.
