Of course you can use CVSROOT, but then you have to know if you have CVSROOT 
set to ":ext:server:/root/cvsroot" or maybe only /dir/cvsroot" or whatever. 
That means, I can not write $CVSROOT/CVSROOT/startScript. I thought there 
might be a nice way to extract JUST the (local) path to the repository.
