RE: How well does CVS handle other types of data?

How do you KNOW you're pulling in the correct resource for the particular
icon etc.  Does each change in an icon result in a new resource file?  How
do you ensure that you can always exactly recreate a previous release or
does 'exactly recreate' only apply to your source code?
