Does anyone have experience with cvs and using an AS/400? I dont even know if it will work on it. I am concered about these kinda things ... iSeries objects types include *FILE for which there are printer files, display files, database files, etc, each with its own inherited object type. *PGM is a high level object type from which ILE Programs, ILE Objects, Old Program Model Objects as well as the language are all incorparted in the object type and sub-type. There are also device objects and many other types. ... Can cvs be used for these? The reason I ask is, we have about 4 different versioning things going on here at work, visual age, cvs, safe source, and some AS/400 tool. Now I dont know jack about AS/400 I use cvs on linux. However With the AS/400, windows, etc... should cvs be used as the versioning system? Thanks alot.
