cvs problem

Hi All,

when I do a : cvs co src ,

where src is my source directory, I get the following errors and the co command fails :

cvs checkout: Updating src

cvs checkout: failed to create lock directory for '/data2/cvsroot/time/src' (/data2/cvsroot/time/src/#cvs.lock): Permission denied.

cvs checkout: failed to obtain dir lock in repository '/data2/cvsroot/time/src'

cvs [checkout aborted]: read lock failed - giving up

If any of you have any idea what the problem is please mail me immediately.
