Absolutely! The problem is not with CVS, as Larry has so eloquently discussed, but with the repository you're trying to use. If you want to use a repository created from, and hosted on, a case-sensitive filesystem then you'd damn well better do so with your working directory on a case- sensitive filesystem, or face the consequenses of potential filename clashes!
