No, CVS is telling *YOU* to move the old file out of the way so that it can write the new file. (You wouldn't want CVS to delete your files without asking, would you? After all, just because the file has the same name that doesn't mean that it's an older version of the same file -- it might be a newer version or even a completely different file!
