Yes, CVSROOT exists and has all the needed files. Tree "proj1/subproj1" also exists and has all the files which need. Greg Woods mentioned, however, that construction which I'm trying to use: "foo -d . proj1/subproj1 file1.pl" is illegal in CVS and if it is indeed the case, I understand why error message shows up.
