Hello:

I am having trouble accessing a remote repository in CVS. The access
method I am using is :pserver. I have everything set up on the server
correctly, but I am not sure about the client. I am logging on to the
remote server/repository successfully, but when I try to use the "add"
cvs command, I get the error:"cvs add: cannot open CVS/Entries for
reading: No such file or directory", "cvs [add aborted]: no repository".

I am NOT setting my CVSROOT on the client, or any other cvs env
variables for that matter. Is this required? I thought I saw something
in a cvs documentation file that stated the error I am getting is a CVS
bug, or due to a version discrepancy between the client and server cvs
versions. I am using Mac OS X 10.1.3 on the client, and SuSE LINUX 7.3
professional on the server. Client cvs version is 1.11.1p1 and server
version is 1.11.1p1.

Can you please tell me if you know of a resolution or a good reference
that explains this error?

Thanks much!!
