If you don't wanna hassle installing cygwin you can get "native" unix utilities for NT here (http://unxutils.sourceforge.net) or here (http://www.wzw.tu-muenchen.de/~syring/win32/UnxUtils.html); I've been using them for a year or so and am quite satisfied.
