Hi guys, Codestriker 1.5.0 has just been released, which may interest those people that use CVS, and are interested in performing code reviews within their engineering teams.
Codestriker is a Perl CGI script that is used for performing code reviews in a collaborative fashion, as opposed to sending patches and comments using unstructured emails. Authors create code review topics, the nominated reviewers being automatically notified by email. Reviewers then submit comments against the code on a per-line basis, and can view comments submitted by the other reviewers as they are created. Special support is given for submitting "diffs", which can be viewed in plain text mode or side-by-side coloured diff mode. If configured with CVS integration, you can also view the contents of a file in its entire original form, and the proposed contents of a file after the review has been committed, complete with colour-coded changes. There is also simple integration with a bug-tracking system, such as Bugzilla, which records which bugs are addressed by the particular topic.
