I was able to reproduce this with the WinCVS client. The CVS that comes with WinCVS prints this with 'cvs -v': Concurrent Versions System (CVS) NT 1.11.1.1 (Local Build 27) (client/server) You may want to contact the CvsGui project <http://sourceforge.net/projects/cvsgui>. I'm not sure upgrading the client will help, but they may have run into this problem before.
