I fixed it. Not sure what happened in the first place. The PostScript was messed up too - a normal `cp' on the machine must have been interrupted, because the files in my home directory were intact. I would suspect that that was when my Gnome crashed, except I think I did that as two seperate copies and even if I didn't, why would it leave half of _each_ file?
Regardless, it's fixed now. I glanced at the sizes and a few md5sums of the remaining files and things look intact. Let me know if you encounter any other problems.
