You may wish to choose a tool that is better for
your particular needs. cvs is not at that friendly
at controlling and merging binary files.

Checking in binary files is not encouraged for cvs
use.

Unix/Linux platforms don't really have the same
problems converting to/from binary non-binary that
windows do.

You may wish to consider CvsNt.org as a 'better'
variation on cvs as more attention is paid to the
Windows platform.
