Have an old RH 7.3 cvs server. I use the latest yum updated version of cvs on it. However, I want to go to the latest version of cvs from source. What is the reccommended practice. Should I do some sort of yum uninstall of the version currently on the server, then build the source version. Or should I just build and install the source version over what is there?
