I am trying to get CVS to authenticate using system passwords on a LInux box that uses MD5 password hashes. According to the documentation, cvs should use systems passwords by default. I have always turned the feature off (SystemAuth=No) but I have need to turn it on for one machine. However, when I set SystemAuth to "Yes" and remove my entry from the CVSROOT/passwd file, I cannot log in. Is this caused by the use of MD5 instsead of crypt? Am I missing something simple?
